Our journey together dates back to our undergraduate years at the University of Texas at Austin. While the exact moment we first met might be lost to the blur of college life, it feels like we were always in each other’s orbit, enjoying similar interests.

We weren't your typical college sweethearts, the kind who meet at orientation and are inseparable from day one. Instead, our initial interactions unfolded organically, often amidst extracurricular activities whether it be a step competition, dance performance, or intramural sports. But even though, in these activities we were always challenging each other to step harder, be punctual, run faster, be better, we were little more than social acquaintances in passing. It wasn't until our final year of college that our friendship began to slowly shift, into something beyond platonic. For Femi, she remembers the late night talks about everything under the universe and being attracted to Kunle's wisdom and perspective on the world. For Kunle, Femi seemed different, grounded and practical, but vibrant.

Over time, our connection deepened. We exchanged favorite songs that became the soundtrack to our budding romance, connected over a shared commitment to family, and discovered a mutual passion for new experiences, big and small. The more time we spent together, the clearer it became that this was more than just a fleeting college romance, this was something special. The years that followed brought a new and unique set of challenges: pursuing careers in different cities, navigating the twists and turns of early adulthood, and, let's be honest, learning hard lessons from what one might call 'youthful ignorance'. But we learned together, and we grew together. Through it all, we've come to understand what partnership truly means – steadfast support, comforting presence, honest and vulnerable communication, and a shared source of joy and laughter. Now, as we stand, ready to embark on our journey as husband and wife, we cannot wait to celebrate our love story with all of you, the people who have cheered us on, supported us, and helped shape the individuals we are today.
